For the past couple of weeks, I’ve been hitting up the local businesses trying to round up donations to be used as bingo prizes for our local [name of internationally recognized service organization redacted] of which I am the Secretary/Treasurer.

Chick-Fil-A: We aren’t giving any more donations until September. Sorry.

Raising Cane’s: Here’s two gift baskets for you – I hope you guys raise a lot of money. Have a lemonade on us for the road!

So not only does Raising Cane’s have superior chicken strips and sauce, they also are better at supporting local charities.

That’s my anecdote and I’m sticking to it.

Also, Pappa John’s donated a super gift package – interesting how the places I like better are also the ones that donate better.

OMG! Todd Graves, founder and CEO of Rasing Cane’s, donates to Republicans!

I found a couple in Lexington, KY. I’ll have to try them out next time I’m there.

Hey, one of the CFA VPs just died of a grabber. Maybe he read Sally Ride’s obit. Or maybe God’s judgement?
