Harry Reid’s unfounded accusations about Mitt Romney’s taxes have echoed across the land for a couple of weeks now. Naturally, Reid (and Pelosi) refuse to release their own tax returns.. Probably because they don’t want you to know how they got so rich through insider trading and earmarks.. What would a liberal demand be without their hypocrisy?

But, here’s a shocking truth Reid can’t deny.

Reid didn’t have time apparently to mention an accurate report that 36 Obama White House aides are $833,000 behind in their taxes, according to the Internal Revenue Service. Nor did Reid explain how the IRS has somehow overlooked a decade of missing tax returns from a multi-millionaire who’s this administration’s main political opponent.

Scumbag, douche-bag and scuzzball.

What’s the difference between Harry Reid and a catfish?

One’s a slimy,  bottom feeding, yellow bellied scum sucker and the other is a fish.

You’re kidding, right? Surely, no one could be as stupid as you’re making out to be.

    Somewhat dispassionately:
Gov Romney’s father believed one might consider not trusting politicians who would not post multiple year tax records.
It is NOT required by law that politicians publish more than the number that Gov Romney has published
“Rights” are pretty carefully defined and listed in our Constitution. Not one of them involves access to a politician’s financial records.
Ms Pelosi’s and Mr Reid’s financial records are of significance to those voters who they represent, not the rest of us.
Referring to people as scumbags, and other derogatory terms adds nothing to discussions other than to further polarize the polemics

I have no idea of the degree to which Ms Pelosi and Mr Reid have used the insider trading advantage that Congress members have enjoyed until the recent legislation. However, data show that numerous members of Congress have used that advantage and that both Republicans and Democrats “enjoyed” that advantage. It cannot be an accident that, at the last moment, an amendment excluded family members of Congressional representatives from being prohibited from that insider trading advantage. Ultimately, we are are more effectively screwed by falling into the trap of thinking that one side or the other of our political spectrum is on our side and that the side we dislike is made up of evil persons and our side is made up of heros.

Drop the polemics, look at what they say and see if you can find someone who actually advocates an honest government that seeks to protect those freedoms we should be holding as valuable.

The earmarks link above gives you some information on how much money Reid and Pelosi made.

I understand your point about honest government and freedoms, but only a few here care about either one of those. I doubt they even understand the meaning of freedom. So, I decided to ridicule them, a little Alinsky.

Scumbag is a compliment for Reid.;)

Oh, the derogatory terms were a salute to Lance who used similar terms in his Chick Fil A is evil post.

NONSENSE! You’re on a helluva roll lately Ed.

EVERY detail of any public official in a national office (President, VP, Senator, House member, etc) are of significance to every citizen of that nation.

What did we call the economy from 2007 until 2009?

      Answer: The “Bush-Pelosi-Reid Economy.”

What did we call the economy from 2009 to 2011?

      Answer: The “Obama-Pelosi-Reid Economy.”

      Enough said.

I would like to see all of their tax returns for the last ten years.

    • DADvocate says:

I’d like to see Obama’s college transcripts. What’s he hiding there? That he’s the dumbest president ever, that he claimed to be born in Kenya, that he was disciplined for something, or…?

  4. steve2 says:

I was unaware that Reid and Pelosi are running for president. I join you in asking that they reveal their tax returns. If there is anything that tells you about a person’s character, it is how they earn and spend their money. I agree with John. We should tax returns for all Senators and Congresspeople.

I am unaware that we have a tradition of having people show their college transcripts. Could you provide a link to someone documenting this tradition. I have never looked at a candidate’s transcript, but I guess we could make that a new tradition if is not one. Do you have a link to Romney’s transcript?
