Ironically, my youngest daughter’s name is Julia. Although only 16, it would be hard to be further from the Obama Julia. She is a self-motivated, strong willed, hard working young lady.
Last year, her sophomore years, she earned a 4.0 GPA (3.8 her freshman year). She got her driver’s license as couple of weeks after turning 16 and she got a job as a car hop at a local drive-in restaurant. I bought her a 10 year old Hyundai Elantra. She pays for all her gas, buys her own food when she and her friends go out, buys most of her clothes, etc. Incredible! I give her money on my own volition every now and then because she’s such a great kid.
She fully understands the benefits of independence. How can I fuss at her for driving too much if it costs me nothing? How can I complain about grades when she makes straight A’s? How can I gripe about anything when she works 20-25 hours a week while going to school? With rare exceptions, she gets to do what she wants and go where she wants because she takes responsibility for herself and has achieved a level of independence greater than a lot of “adults.” Independence means freedom whether it’s from parents or government.
Obama and his ilk promote dependence on government so they can trap you into voting for them because you’re dependent on them, plus it makes it easier for them to control you.
