Didn’t realize this link was in the same vein as my map above! Amazing what you can get under the Freedom of Information act… but you sure better be careful what ya’ publish!
Personally I have no problem with the printing of this list.
I’d be more worried NOT being on that list, as it makes an excellent blueprint for home invaders, showing which homes are the most and least vulnerable.
The newspaper undermined its own credibility by demonstrating its hypocrisy…hiding behind registered guns (armed guards) without once being threatened by any of the obviously law-abiding citizens whose names they published.
Crime stats show that less than 1% of gun crimes are committed with registered guns, so it’s interesting that such outlets worry about their NON-criminal friends and neighbors (the publisher and managing editor, like the author of the original piece all have gun permits), when they never published the list of registered sex offenders….not even the confirmed pedophiles on that list.
Just appears to be an interesting “lack-of-judgment” call, on the paper’s part.
