1) FIRST TERM OBAMAFACT: The number of Americans age 16 or older who decided not to work or even to seek a job increased by 8,332,000 to a record 88,839,000 in President Barack Obama’s first term, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. That’s an increase of over 11% – WTG BARACK!

2) FIRST TERM OBAMAFACT: Obama Increased Debt $50,521 Per Household; More Than First 42 Presidents in 53 Terms Combined
3) FIRST TERM OBAMAFACT: President Barack Obama averaged 49.1% job approval during his first term in office, among the lowest for post-World War II presidents. Only Jimmy Carter and Gerald Ford had lower job approval averages.
4) FIRST TERM OBAMAFACT: Michelle Obama is the first presidential wife to wear a wig and false eyelashes.
5) FIRST TERM OBAMAFACT: Barack Obama and his family are the only first family to cost the taxpayers in excess of $1.4 BILLION DOLLARS (not a typo – it’s a B) for VACATIONS. Last month’s Christmas alone cost us over $4 MILLION! Ho! Ho! Ho! Thanks, you dumbasses who voted for this P.O.S! BWAAAHAHAHAHAHA! [See also #2 above]
You need to learn about inflation and this thing called nominal dollars.
Steve
Inflation won’t even begin to explain the increases in spending, debt, deficits, etc that have occurred in Obama’s reign. But, I guess it makes you sound smart to throw out terms like “nominal dollars.’
Keeps you from sounding stupid when you write “More Than First 42 Presidents in 53 Terms Combined”.
With all that going against Obama, it’s pretty amazing that the best candidate the GOP could find didn’t win the General Election, eh?
Disgusting, isn’t it?
Actually, yeah, I think it is.
America is best served by having two parties that can make a case for and actually grapple with issues.
What we seem to have now are two organizations that play to their respective bases and raise funds, lots and lots of funds, but seem unable or unwilling to engage the general public in a meaningful way.
With all that going against Obama, it’s pretty amazing that the best candidate the GOP could find didn’t win the General Election, eh?
Wouldn’t have mattered….

All would have voted for him no matter what the Republicans did.
He could have walked out on to the White-House lawn and pissed on tourists and they STILL all would have voted for him.
Obama is not the problem, he’s the manifestation of what this country has become.
Dont forget people with college degrees, especially advanced degrees. And Jews and Asians.

re: First Term Obama “Fact”–dunno about false eyelashes, but I’m almost sure Martha Washington wore a wig, because most ladies did in those days.
From listening to Ms Pat on the Bob and Tom Show, black women wear wigs a lot more than white women, almost as much as Dolly Parton.
Since our good Steve’s collection of sentence fragments to date has yet to actually communicate anything more than the suggestion that he is smarter than others, perhaps I can help a bit here.
Googling the phrase “Obama Increased Debt $50,521 Per Household”, the first return tells me
While the article does not tell us whether any of the figures quoted are in nominal or in inflation-adjusted real dollars, let us assume for the sake of illustration that they are in non-inflation adjusted nominal dollars.
To then get the real or constant dollar version of how much federal government debt per household has increased during President Obama’s first term, from January 20, 2009 to January 17, 2013 we would have to adjust all dollar figures used for the inflation rate between January 20, 2009 and January 17, 2013.
How much was the U.S. inflation rate during that period of January 20, 2009 to January 17, 2013?
How much difference does it make in the $50,521 per household figure?
If not $50,521, what in fact is the real dollar per household figure?
How does it affect the intelligence of the phrase “More Than First 42 Presidents in 53 Terms Combined”? In real rather than nominal dollars, is that phrase still as originally true, or has it now become ridiculously false?

Firebird:
1) What are the actual proportions in each number? How many are full-time high school or college students (my younger daughter is one of the latter)? How many are parents of very young children who are choosing to raise them (my elder daughter is one of them)? How many of them are classified as disabled? How many of them are recently or newly retired and receiving pension and/or Social Security benefits? What other classifiable reasons are there for someone to “decide[d] not to work or even to seek a job” that are not related to either available jobs or being qualified for the local jobs that are available?
I would look them up myself, but then I’d be condoning the sloppy use of statistics to make a point that is very close to a non sequitur without those details.
2) Our Good Host has clarified your debt numbers (thank you, good sir). Do you know where those additional debt dollars were spent?
3) Please forgive a bluntly-phrased opinion: I have as little care for approval ratings numbers in either direction as I have great contempt for the approx. 50% of the nations eligible voters who do not cast votes in federal elections. A question I doubt you can answer even if you try: during those surveys, do they identify people as having voted or not voted in the last two elections?
4) Wired Sister covered this one, for which I have no opinion anyway.
5) Sounds ominous. Do you know how much of that is Secret Service expenses? I would hope it goes up every year to increase their salaries and benefits in the hope that they will continue to serve. Do you also know what the fuel expense is from DC to Hawaii?
I assume that when you refer to Obama voters as “dumbasses” (that’s me, among others, thank you very much) and then call the President a “P.O.S.” you’re inviting reasoned dialogue? Let me know how that strategy works out for you.
